Titan, Ph.D., is a student-run, collaborative game development project between students at Texas A&M University. The project goal is to create a mobile game for the iPad using Unity iOS. The project is closely supervised by Andre Thomas, Head of Graphics for Football at EA Sport's Tiburon location in Orlando, FL, and Sergio Rosas, Owner and Art Director of CGBot in Austin, TX. Production on the project began in August of 2012, and will end in May of 2013.
As Producer/Art Director for the project, I have had many responsibilities, such as organizing and recruiting team members, planning production schedules, creating a pipeline for the project utilizing elements of SCRUM methodology, organizing and running playtesting sessions, and creating BurnDown charts to track progress. I have also acted as mediator for the 12+ people working on the project, assigned tasks, doled out responsibilities to the project Leads, determined story elements, made executive design decisions to solidify a consistent aesthetic for the game itself, and set up meetings with industry professionals (including our supervisors) to gather feedback and advice.
